So, apparently my girlfriend deleted her paper that she was working on for school.

Then, this is the kicker, she then cleared the trash.

Yea, I know dumb. But, guess who gets a phone call when she needs to get it undeleted before tomorrow.

So, right now I am waiting on a program to scan her hard drive for deleted files so that I can try to undelete her paper.

I am thinking about going and strangling her right now...

yeah i used a program not too long ago don't remember what it was called but I downloaded it and it was "free"...worked awesome

scanned the entire drive and showed everything that was still on the drive but not accessible...

I did some searching and the program everyone recommends is not free... Which means that someone might be SOL if this free trial shit doesn't work out...

Use an Ontrack Recovery program...and tell her get off the ****ing PC...until you get there...

i would suggest downloading it to an external drive and running it from that

if you write or change anything on her drive it may over write the data and then you are SOL

you probably know all this but figured i would say it just in case

Try TuneUp Undelete.... u have to find the program... i think they have a free trial period... or if you're into it... there are cracks for it... but I'm not sure if it works on files deleted before installation. Still worth a try.
