Mod help - Hooking up...computer subs?...pics...

Here’s the deal guys.

~ I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota Sport extended cab.

~ I have a 300 watt Pioneer amp in the back.

~ A JBL Kd-g400 receiver.

~ Stock front speakers and Sony xploads(or w/e) in the back.

I want to add some bass. I have thought about a lot of options including the MTX Thunderform and such... but i just came across this crazy idea…

Computer subs??

Through a weird set of events I now have 2 z-560 computer Logitech subwoofers. These subs are AWESOME!! I can feel the bass from across my house.

I was thinking is there anyway to do a crazy mod and hook up one of these subs to my 300 watt car amp and skip the expensive (and noobish) MTX thing? i was thinking to just attach it to the back seat.

I have these subs lying around collecting dust and would like to use them – especially since bass is so incredible. (Subwoofer power output: 188 watts RMS)

the subs come with a 400 watt amp on the back... is there anyway i could use these or am i gonna have to figure out a way to hook them up to the car amp?

If you need anymore info just let me know.

Ps - Now i know they have boxes i could put in back but i dont have the money for that. the only reason im thinking of this is to save some money...

you probably need a power inverter, and i am not sure how the signal is sent to the amp. so depending on how that works, you might be able to do it.

Eh they sound decent to me in the house, no where good but decent, i cant say the same for possible car use and i would assume they wouldnt compare to a real car sub.

yeah but what would sound better - the MTX settup with 2 10's or this?
