MMC6500 or Alpine Type X?

I have narrowed it down to the Polk Momo MMC6500 or the Alpine Type X 6.5's for components... I use to have the Infinity 60.5cs and I thought they performed well, but lacked a little in the tweeter department. How would these compare to my old Infinity's? Also which should I choose among the 3 if I were to throw in the Infinity? The components will be ran off a Class A/B older Rockford Punch 100. Plenty of power for components, especialy with the amp being the older style underrated Punch series amps

id say go with your ears and or your gut. i used to run polk (was a while ago) needless to say i dont ever consider them, but like i said its been awhile ago 11-9 years.

from what i've heard polk isn't too good. i did hear that type x components are pretty good for what they are. let me know what you choose and how they compare to the kappas bc i have the 60.5 installed too, and kind of want to see how other stuff stacks up.

The Polk/MOMO are some of the better speakers you'll see at large retail stores. I like them better than the Kappas and the Type-Rs. They have silk tweeters and they play a bit more bass than most other speakers of the same size. The MOMOs against the Type-X, I wouldn't be able to tell you which you would like better since I haven't heard the Type-Xs.

Well I went to Ultimate Electronics today and compared the Type X to the Boston Acoustics and the Infinity Kappa... Their sound room was rather messed up so they couldnt play any components on an amplifier. The Infinity Kappa 60.5cs sounded brighter and fuller than the $699(in the 600's, not for sure on the exact price) Boston Acoustics and the Alpine Type X's. Even compared them all to the Infinity Kappa Perfect and those let me down, even though they are Infinity's top of the line. So from what I heard, Infinity Kappa 60.5cs is winning me over... Again

You probably heard the Pro60s, and thoose can take some serious power, so hearing them un-amped probably isnt a great indication on their potential, but if you liked the infinities better id go with thoose.
