MMats amps??

I've only had experience with the new line and mostly the 3000.05 and 3500.05 and .1 But I have no complaints. These amps are tanks, tons of power, just keep taking all the abuse we can throw at them. From what I have heard they have always made them this way. We have played with the 2200.1 too with the same results. I am using MMATS amps and subs this season if any of this helps.

the 3500.05, that will run daily at .5 correct? how underrated are they and what kind of electrical system are you using for that amp? are they efficient as they say? im thinking about trading my d300hc amp for one of those; mmats could cut me a deal iirc.

Yes they will do .5 ohm daily. We are actually running this one at .66 daily and have no problems. We have a stock alt, and optima yellow top under the hood and a big yellow stinger in back (forgot the model right now), eventually the other big stinger will fit under the hood. I talked to MMATS about them and they say the published rating of 2700 watts in the "bench" rating and the they will do the 3500 watts that the model states. So far we have no complaints, but also haven't tested efficency, or actual power.

mmats amps are awesome. The older models are unregulated such as the d100- d300hc and the 1400.x's they are rated at about 13 v's but can take up to 16 v's.The newer models are rated at 12v's and push out full power at 14.4 v's but they can't go up to 16 volts. So the older models can push out a max of 1786 watts @ 16 v's and the newer models the d3500.5 pushes out 2700 at .5 ohm with 12volts and 3500 at .5 ohm with 14.4 volts.
