mixing different subs

Same power or not, different subs will react to their enclosure/environment/the material differently. Instead of having speakers work together and compliment each other, it will make the freq response more erratic. But then you have people like skydeaner who hear it get louder, so they assume its 'better'.
Cancellation is a mis-used term in thissituation most times, its leads to alot of confusion.

In closing, chose one sub brand/model or the other. There is no logical advantage in trying to run both.
I never said it was "better", dont get my words twisted here. Maybe he is just wanting to annoy the neighbors or impress his friends with the crazy amount of Deebeez he is getting. In that case it would be better. It is completely subjective. I also said it would sound like total ***.

Ever post you come in to you just annoy the shit outta me. I am a SQ freak and would never recommend anyone do such a thing if they wanted their music to sound good. But lets face it, there are a lot of little thug bastards out there that just want to get loud.

Nothing but naysayers in this thread... mix and match can work if you cross them over properly. Say 1 or 2 15s handling 15-45hz and the other 10 or 12 taking 45hz+. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Why not run those 15's from 15-45Hz, and work on the midbasses so no futher drivers are needed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Keeps the soundstage where it should be, and allows the subwoofer to do what it's really meant to do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
