i go thru clutches and transfer cases like crazy but im launchin at 8500 rpms

Yea. I actually bought it from a guy who raced it, and a 911 on Pikes Peak.

After the 1st time those parts were replaced, it shouldn't have happened again so rapidly, but maybe then it was just me pushing it too hard *heh*

The clutch was just starting to go out again when I sold it. And the buyer told me he had to replace the turbo again later too. HAHAHA.... That thing has some kind of curse on it.

once you really race a car the ****** internals work lose causing clutches to not completly engage or dissengage causing the problem of alot of clutch problems

it would take some serious racing to do it but like you said pikes peak

i think counts as some serious racing

never heard of a dsm on pikes peak i like the sound of it tho

not to mention leaking clutch lines which id say in your case was the problem for the clutches

my 96 talon esi does 130 before i run outta room. but governers don't limit that low always. I was told that the governer limits speed due to tire rating. Don't know if that is true but its what i heard. Id say no chip

the "governor" is easily electronically limited AND revlimited too..

Sports cars and sedans are often speed limited at like 130mph anymore, but older cars may not have this, and if they do an aftermarket computer or a reflash is often the only cure. Cops didn't like being outran.
