Mitsu Eclipse quick Question

go out and see if you can bury tha speed o //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i belive it says 140

if you can theres no chip

if you cant but you can make it 120(if tha speed o says 140)theres no chip

most cars with a chip dissengage anywhere from 80-115

if this was a 1g i could answer all ur ?'s

I had a '91 Eclipse GSX (all wheel drive turbo) with a few minor intake, exhaust, wastegate mods that easily hit 140, but it was squirrely past 120~ish, and couldn't set the cruise over, I believe it was, 90 MPH. That was many years ago.

i have a 91gsx

and a 91 talon tsi(exact same cars)

talon is heavaly modded will be running 9's this year without nos :)well id say this one has no problem doing 140:) the honda hunters on the prowl again this year

honduhhhh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif

gsx is lightly modded intake.injectors, exaust, head job,bov

a bunch of lil bolt on has no problem doing 140

my 96 talon esi does 130 before i run outta room. but governers don't limit that low always. I was told that the governer limits speed due to tire rating. Don't know if that is true but its what i heard. Id say no chip

set the cruise over 90 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

thats why i said 80-115

i have never heard of one shutting down below 80

and never above 120 i think was the highest

alot of imports dont have chips(depending on year)

a govener has nuthing to to with shut down its a throttle restrictor

it keeps the throttle cable from supressing all the way keeps car from picking up more speed but doesnt disengage ****** like a chip does a govener can be adjusted at no cost with a screwdriver while a shut off chip will cost you money to get adjusted prolly no less than a hundred

the chip for my 94 crown vic cost me 150

oh hell ya... for long trips, ya' gotta' have it. I took my MR2 to South Padre Island a couple times (1100 miles each way) and set the cruise at 110+ most of the way. It loved it. *hehe*
