mini cooper, wall, 2 18" mts, 6kw

sanding down the side front glassed trim panels and just put filler in, letting it dry then ill sand it down smoother, and prally put one more layer of filler and sand once more, then itll be ready for fabric

im taking the headliner out, and fiberglassing it, got a few things im gonna add to it, one thing being the a/c controls glassed in, and a 7" screen where the rear view mirror was, dont know what else, maybe some speakers lol

and i took the amps out, gonna glass the rear trim panel, but i dont have my compressor at the house and i need to use my staple gun, and my electric one doesnt staple thru the hard plastic pillars so i gotta wait until my dad brings the compressor from his shop to fleece the back up. prally get that done later today

fyi, reason im working on it all of a sudden is because i went on a rampage and cleaned the garage, so now i can park in it (barely) but i have a place to work instead of outside where its been raining on and off lately. i only pull it outside to sand so dust doesnt get all over my newly cleaned garage lol

uh oh..

tore out the headliner

cut up the headliner

IMG00011-20100211-1811.jpg

removed old suede and factory fabric, this is the bare fiberglass headliner

IMG00012-20100211-1821.jpg

cut the sides like i did, so i can put them back in place, so it still has a nice factory edge where it meets the weatherstripping, and ill glass off of it from there.

the gap in between the headliner and my glassed side panels in this pic will be flushed together as one piece. i didnt like how it was so thats what prompted this idea to make a custom headliner. itll also house a 7" monitor for a backup cam, my a/c controls, and the factory interior dome light relocated to the front though. maybe a few other things, not sure yet. ideas are welcome.

foaming up some gaps, gonna try and brace the roof the best i can before glassing the headliner in permanently, to avoid as much flex as possible. not TOO much can be done becuase of the sunroof (which isnt getting removed, im not going that far to have it welded shut etc..)

just got my 2 Griffin PowerMate USB controller knobs. these things are badass. you can control them to do anything you want. theres 6 changeable settings (turn left, turn right, click, long click, click while turning right, click while turning left) that you can program, and they are programable to be different things in each program

will be used with this 10.4" touchscreen and carputer (not going to have a HU, just a pc and eq)

This might be the stupidest, most deadly idea Ive ever seen.

Not only will the air bag not deploy or function properly, but that mass of **** you loaded over it will now be coming at your body @ 200mph

You sir, fuked up

Disable that airbag
