mids to match vc100 tweeters?

I recently replaced my infinity 6820cs component set tweeters with blaupunkt vc100s and swapped out the infinity crossover with the blaupunkt one.

So right now im using an infinity 6820cs mid with the blaupunkt crossover and tweeter. It sounds alright, but I want to get rid of the infinity mid.

Is there a 6.5 mid that would work well with the vc100 passive crossover thats not very expensive?

Mach5 is a solid mid, but hard to say how it'll work with your xover. For the $$$ they cost I wouldn't hesitate to give it a try...

The vc100's have a frequency response of 2.5-23k. The crossovers are set a 3k at a 12dB slope.

I would like some punchy midbass. Dont really get that from my infinity mids so I want to experience it. Good midrange too.

That means you need midranges that are usable up to 3k or beyond 3k.

I have my MLI-65s playing (active though) from 80hz-3.15khz 12db slope and they do fine off my PDX 4.100. Guessing they're seeing about 100w per side thanks to stock electrical. More midbass than my previous PG RSD set EVER had lol.

Those CSX woofers seem to have a very nice midrange but also seem to lack in midbass frequencies, according to the user reviews on PE. I paid $79/pair shipped for the MLI-65s straight from Mach 5's site. I'd just go with the MLIs, they're very nice for the price. Just make sure you have enough power on tap. You could ditch the rear speakers and bridge the channels for your front speakers. It should still be plenty loud and may possibly sound better to your ears.

Is the price at SSA for a pair or a single speaker? They have them priced at 36 dollars.
