i keep having a problem with my mids and highs just dropping out not completly but you can tell a signifigant difference any info you need let me know and if i turn it down like almost all the way for a second then turn it back up and the gains are pretty much down on the amp and its not distorting

What do you mean "dropping out" ? Getting quieter?

Is it both the mid and tweeter or just the tweeter?

Are they on a passive crossover?

There are some pretty simple ways to test whats going on. Just requires a DMM.

sorry about the confusion yes they get quieter and the amps not too set too high and im not turning up on the hu till it distorts or anything it just gets quiter and i turn it back down almost all the way down then turn it back up its fine but it just does it randomly an it's gettin kinda annoying is a dmm like a voltage tester ? im not sure what kinda crossover it has one wire coming from the amp to the crossover the 2 sets of wire come out the other end for mid range driver and the other for the tweeter
