midrange vs tweeter rms

my midrange speakers can defently handle more power then my tweeters (hooked up to teh same channel with crossover) and my tweeter crossover is set at 5k...

anyway im getting new tweeters.. and wanna put more power to the midrange and either get tweeters that can handle more power.. or do you think if i bought tweeters that matched the comps and put 125 rms to the front midrange speakers and 75 rms to the tweeters.. the difference in sound would be too much?

also my crossovers have the light bulb style tweeter protection... and if im right or wrong i know this might seem like a stupid question... but if its going over the current limit... and the tweeter protection turns on ... would it start to glow?

i understand that... thats why the tweeters crackin first...

so i dont know if i should

a) buy tweeters that can handle more power and use the passive crossover

or

b) buy the same tweeters (well silk version) from memphis audio.. which would be rated the same power (50/100)... and bi amp the midrange/tweeters.. put like 125 to the mids and 75 to the tweeters

i would defently like to do b but that would require more stuff to buy and i dont know if the 75/125 wouldbe to great a differnce in loudness...

plus i wanna buy new speakers soon anyway cause im getting a new car.. can't wait to build my next system....

Yes they should light up if they are overdriven.

yea my crossover never lit up even turned all the way up but.. i been getting this wierd cracking sound lately... im wondering if its my radio clipping but i dont know cause every freq above the 5k range plays fine... it almsot sounds like i can hear the electricity going through them... i lost my license for 7 months..so my car was just rotting.. my alnternator is defently lacking bad... and i deliver on weekends so my tweeters got wet all the time... wonder if they were just on their way out.
