Midrange Speakers

mid range speaker is a speaker dedicated to the upper mid bass of the freq. spectrum....a 2 or 3way speaker has a mid, and tweet....they tend not to sound as good as componets due to th fact that they us a cheap passive xover on them...and generally componets have better xovers on them....

Thanks guys. How do you think this will sound. I have a Jeep Cherokee and I'm looking at the Kicker RS5c component system for the front and then I was looking to put standard RS5 midranges in the back hatch. I dont listen to music with lots of bass really. Just mainly punk. What do you guys think?

they will do great for you..

goddyd4me, another benefit to component systems is having more of the cone of the midranges open and free of obsruction.

you will notice more midbass response from a component of size x than a co or triax of size x....

plus, they are more dynamic... you cna place tweeters and midranges where they work best...

install the midrage )from the component set first) then, using double sided tape or soetmhing, try different spots for your tweeter, wherever it sounds best to you, start cuttin...
