Midrange in 3 way setup

I was looking for a 3, 4, or 5" midrange that sounded good lowpass at 375 and highpass at 3000. I got about $75 to spend and I prefer 8 ohms as the tweeter and woofer is 8 ohms and the crossover is 8 ohms. This is a DIY setup.
