middle part of the subwoofer cone fell off

The sub operates using a voice coil and the gap where the voice coil sits isn't very forgiving when it comes to having anything else in there. Dust or any other interference can potentially hurt your sub. I feel like it could help with cooling down the voice coil though, but I still wouldn't risk it.

just duct tape it or get a generic dust cap and use automotive goop to glue it down or CA glue. keep pressure on it until it dries. Also because the weight of the cone with the original dust cap isn't the same anymore, the sub may sound a little different if you have a good ear but from the sounds of it, i doubt you would notice.

can somebody tell me what size dustcap is needed for a 12" sub? i'm trying to google but, not finding the info. actually i guess i can just go to the car and measure it.
