midbass

also i'm going to do the following frequency range

subs 20hz - 80hz

midbass 60hz - 110 hz

comps 100 hz - ubove

would this be good? I plan to turn down the gain for the rear midbass and have them only plan nondirectional sound from 120 hz and down, they would act as a bridge between the subs and the mids to make a fuller sound

there's been like 5 threads about midbass as rear fill in the last week

it's not a great idea

get some higher power front stage components, do a proper install (read the sticky at the top of the speaker page) and bridge your amp to give more power to one set, than powering two

You should not need a "bridge" between the front components and the subwoofer.

ok there seems to be a bit of confusion, totaly my fault,

now let me explain the situation

right now there are

rainbow slc comps up front

two 12" assasins in trunk running off of jbl bpx 500.1

and so the problem is the rainbow comps are going to run off of a jbl px 300 (already bought) and it has 4 channels so two channels are going to be wasted

(i can't bridge cause they make 358 watts x 2 at 4 ohms bridged so that's way too much for speakers that run at 100 rms.

so you see i don't want to waste the two channels that are making 123 watts each, therefore looking for rear fill midbasses. Nothing expensive, a pair of midbasses under 100 bucks would be more than enough.

feel free to suggest any other ideas

X2 on the Tang Bands. Rather than running them IB, I would try and get them in some sort of tuned enclosure to play the frequency range that you want to reinforce, so they can do it with maximum efficiency.

i think what squeak is saying that that you shouldn't need a bridge, because your fronts should be able to play low enough to mate up with your sub.....

no reason to have another set of speakers...

just concentrate on getting your front stage to sound better
