Midbass help

Alright I finished sealing up my doors and I still don't have the mid-bass I know these Germs can produce. I have plenty of power going to them and they are loud enough. But the midbass is weak, it is about the same as my mom's civic stock system //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. Any ideas of why this is?

And you've double and triple checked the wiring polarity, the amp gains, and any pass filters?

I've checked the wiring it is all + to + and the amp gains are set properly, up around 280watts per side and the pass filters are ~ 80hz @ 12dB

Have you applied any EQ from the HU?

The PEQ is turned up a few nothces around 400hz but that is it, and I had the same problem before I did that. The crossover ont he HU is set at 80hz @ 12dB, time alignment for the doors and sound stage set for a compact car.

Try reversing the polarity of one of the midbass.

See if that changes anything.

Well I reversed the passenger side speaker and decided to test side and side and they seem to equal now. Weird :hmm: They sound pretty **** nice on Zoom and Git It lol.

Yup, well there is still a big hole in both doors I didn't cover up.

Try covering those holes in your doors and see if that does anything...

I have same problem with my focal k2p in a 02 honda accord. I am thinking to do a door pod or even kick panel now. I've sealed the door and has done polarity, beat EQ, and all kinds of diagnoses but didn't help.

i've recalled that most rainbow speakers need to be "broken in." i think it was like a 10 hour break in time or something.
