Metered the BTL

good start. I would be no where happy with that score. Shit my type R 15 in a trunk car did over a 150+ in the kick, and a 146.3 at the headrest off ~1600 clamped. You have work to do.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Thats about the power I am seeing as well. I clamped it at ~1660 with a rise to 4.1 from 2. I know theres room for improvment but Im no db drag pro. What freq was that at and what car?

I bet the R didnt have near the same low end //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif This isnt a fart box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I am no where near a pro. My civic trunk peaked @ 44hz and metered a 145.5 on music at the head rest. Regardless of what i have done, there is much to do with your set up. Your car has lots of potential and now you have a good baseline score to work with. Not bashing anything, just use this information as a learning experience and do work.

Add some power and aim for that 150 on a low note. Lows are much more impressive than peaky *** fart boxes.

Not bad, in fact it reminds me of when I had my 18. If I remember correctly I did a 144.? playing some DJ screw with the meter on the dash. My box was 6.5cf. tuned to 32hz. It was insane on the lows.

Thats what I will resort to doing if I cant pull the score up some more. Me and Andy talked about flushing out the inside of the enclosure on the side were the port is to eliminate that dead space. And then I am going to put a 45 in the corner behind the sub to cut the airspace of the enclosure. I will also raise the tuning to about 40 or so and see where its at. Im eventually going to flare the ends of the ports as well, and Im sure that with the few things I can do I can pick up a few dbeeeeeezzzzz

Right now the enclosure is basically the just the biggest I could fit in the car. Its definately larger than what it should be to pull numbers but like I said, its initial purpose was to be a low end monster......which it is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

With the mods to the box like we talked about you will still have the low end but also have some upper end. At low volume 35hz was 127.9 and 45 hz was 122.4. Just so everyone knows the box has no upper end. dies at 45 hz and up.

Looking at the scope, I HOPE you were playing music, 'cause that is a HORRIBLE looking result for a sine wave!!!!

You might try some high notes looking at the harmonics showing up there too.

Music itself shouldn't really cause a crappy wave. My team mate does AS2 and his waves are always clean until the the volume is turned up to high and the signal becomes distorted.

i was being nice. the bias is off too. there's a lot going on with that screen. I was hoping that it was AT LEAST music.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Sometimes when playing at low volumes the TL will show a distorted wave and will clean up once the sound pressure goes up. I've also found that the way in which the car is set up, such as the opening of the doors, can have an effect on the wave form. My signals are really distorted when my truck is sealed up, but once I open my passenger door they are much smoother.
