Well I headed out to themommyvan's house earlier tonight to meter the BTL. Now from the start of my build I was shooting for a loud daily driver setup on music, that just got nasty low. Well, after seeing the numbers it put up I have to say it was definately in the area I expected mid-140's. The thing that blew my mind is where this setup peaks at.
I know there are some of you that will judge the numbers how you want to but for a somewhat musical setup I think its right where it should be.
For any of you that dont know the equipment:
220 amp alt, yellow top in trunk, KX 2500, dual 1 ohm BTL.
And the numbers:
These first two are sealed up on the dash
But look closely, thats peaking at 34hz
How about 25hz
20hz?
And with the door open, peaking at ~30hz, looks a little lower in the pic but Im pretty sure we ran a 31hz tone in this one.
With the few things we have planned for the enclosure it might eek out a 50. But this is no burp machine so I know the number can go up with some improvments and an altering in tuning. Its still not sealed off completely yet either, but its close. Might get another small gain after I finish sealing it up.
By the looks of the numbers it seems like Im tuned really low, but Ive checked it time and time again and Im right at 8 cube @ 32hz right now.
