Metal Box for a Millitary truck!!

Hey guys, first time posting on this forum, wanted to get a audio guru's advise on these boxs I am fabricating.

I am mounting a pair of Infinity 6x9 3 ways, I will have a 3.5" hole cut out behind the box that will give the speaker the volume of about 10+ cu. ft. from the inner body panel of the bed of the truck to the outer fender. The box is 14g steel and is all welded, it will also be welded into the bed of the truck.

The truck is a CUCV M1009; which is like a military version of the big K5 blazers.

I am also running the q-forum kick panel mounts for my Infinity ref 6.5s components.

Under the dash pad I have the 2 outer speakers (infinity ref 3.5s) and for the center speaker instead of one of the odd shaped ones I have a adapter to run two 3.5s right next to each other. The amp is a infinity ref 4ch. the deck is a Kenwood EX-500, I am running the 6x9s and the 6.5s off the amp and the little 3.5s off the deck. 16g wires for all speakers, 4g for power to amp.

Does this all look O.K. or am I missing something????

Thanks,

Well when you look at the back of a M1009 you have a rear fender that goes from the back of the door frame to the tailgete...then you have about a 10inch gap from the outer fender to in inner bed panel (the inner wall of the bed), so if I am welding this box to the inner wall and plasma cutting a 3.5" hole (inside the box through the inner wall) that would give the speaker access to all the volume between the outer fender to the inner panel...right?

No No,

look at the pic of the box I made it's like less then 1 cu. ft.,

however the box will be welded to the inner panel of the truck (see mockup pic), inside the box I will cut a 3.5 inch hole in the inner panel of the truck, that will allow a passage way for air to the inner panel; the area inside the inner panel has about 10 cu. ft. of air.

So what do you guys think?

Its pretty much what the speaker is made for. Most speakers for door applications are meant for IB (infinite baffle). IB is the same thing as free air, but it separates the frontwave from the backwave. The box is large enough to act like there isn't one at all.
