oscopes are expensive and unneccessary if u dont plan on competing and need all the power u can get...use your ears...besides, u can see the clip, not only hear it

Actually you can plug a microphone into a laptop computer, and use the oscilliscope mode of TrueRTA (or other software) to see the waveform.
