Hey guys, I've just got a new W203 C180 benz. The problem is that I want more bass, the stock sub-woofer doesn't give enough.
My problem is connecting my amp, a MTX 1000WRMS with only RCA inputs. I believe the C180 has an amplified audio system, and a shop told me it runs fibre optic cable (not sure on this) from the head unit to the amp meaning I can't hook on to the RCA outs of the stock head unit.
Is there any way I can hook onto an amplified signal and connect it to my amp? I've heard of LOC's (line out converters), but will any of these work on an already amplified line? Or are they just meant for stock ~10WRMS head unit amplified signals? I'm guessing the preamplified signals are somewhere between 40WRMS to 150WRMS.
Any help would be great, thanks!
