Memphis sub, sealed box. Insulation yes or no?

Hi,

My current sub system consists of a Memphis sub (15-MCP10D4) powered by a JL Audio (500/1v2). The sub is in a sealed enclosure (1"mdf) with approximately 1.1 Cu ft. of air space. It sounds fantastic. I was just wondering if there would be any benefit from adding some poly fill to the inside of the enclosure? There are some sites that claim if not overdone it can add performance to the sub. and smooth out the bass. I am happy with the current sound of the Sub. I just was curious if it would make it more efficient and play a bit louder.

If anyone has any experience with this, I would appreciate your suggestions. I guess I could always just experiment with it and see if I can notice any changes.

Thanks for your time.

Richard

p.s. signature system is in other vehicle.
