well. if the w7 is ran in parallel at 3ohms per coil, thats 1.5ohms nominal impedance - not including impedance rise, so he should be seeing 800~900w rms with out anything else in the mix. the jl 1000.1 has the rail system with "same impedance power" and does 1000w at 1, 2 or 4 ohms. so its roughly the same power daily after impedance rise and all that is figured in.
i cant claim to know this as fact - but one reason my be because the memphis amp is simply more efficent and you are getting less voltage drop, and resulting in more wattage output on average.
personally im not a huge fan of JL just because the hype that its given. and sorry about the assumption that you changed amps, it was just something i figured you did because most people cant afford to scoop a w7, 1000.1, and a mc1000d lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
