Memphis Pushes harder than JL...

Maybe my ears are playin tricks but i would have expected the JL (1000/1)to push my sx12 a little more than my memphis (mc1000d).. But the memphis seems alot louder, hit alot harder and seemed like a better overall match, why is this?? relatively the same voltage both set off the DMM for the corrrect impedence.. Nomatter what i do the memphis pushes it way harder and louder.. seems cleaner.. When i say way louder that might be a push , but there is def. a audible difference in sound and pressure .. IDK.. i'm lost.. and if i was buying something for name brand instead of performance i woul have never bought from a small company like oo say ( RE ) to have it come to a small name brand only bandwagon mainstream town to show off.. well imo - memphis and jl are very similar quality wise. so i dont know why you changed amps. id rather have gotten the memphis myself.

I did'nt change amps .. I had bought a 12w7 and the 1000/1 a few years ago, and then a deal came along for the memphis amps ( i bought 2 - mc1000d's for $600 full warranty and all from a dealer who wanted to clean out the line) Then i bought a re sx12 on a group buy to see what all the RE hype was about since i never heard one at the time...

I noticed the samething. I had a 1/1000 on my 12W7. I put a 1000 Memphis on it. The Memphis seem to push it just as much as the 1/1000.. only the Memphis didn't dim my lights.
