Whats the final load its wired to? Below 1ohm?

If youre playing it hard, (because you seem to have decent voltage and the subs dont get hot), and no other equipment is stressed, you probably have it up for a good while. It will just get hot.

Anything thats turning hundreds of amps of DC power into 4,000 watts is going to generate a good amout of heat.

Thanks i figured it would need alot more, My friend who i got the amp from said, You don't need all that crap. He only ever ran that amp at 2ohm in a blazer so it probably was ok. Well i'm going to order the alt here soon. Thanks.

well the amp must of died, It just gave up and quit on me. Was normal wasn't pushing it to bad. It lights up normal and everything looks right but no sound. If there was a major problem wouldn't some kind of protection come on?

Those amps are notorious for going out with low voltage. You can send it to amplifier repair center, they are familiar with these as they have fixed about 100 of them.

Just like everyone else said: get some more power and now that you will have a few weeks before you get the amp back from repair... you can work on your electrical. A decent HO alt and 2 big batts will suffice. 3 big batts and you will be able to run the hell out of that thing all day

yea your right i got the time now, *****! It's burnt in 3 different places inside. I didn't think it was really urgent, it was hittin nicely with no dimming. I have an alt it was going in when i had a min. I'm new to this forum stuff, lol. who is good with these? How can i get ahold of them? Thanks for the help.
