read the gain tutorial.....search what those things are (lpf - low pass filter crossover) (ssf - subsonic filter)

i was just hoping for a general answer, like setting both the hz and lpf to the middle or the HU will adjust everything accordingly

it depends on your sub and what your box is tuned to.

my sub is a s15l7 4 ohm, and the box is set to be 35hz i think

equip is:

Kicker s15l7 4 ohm, box ported at 35hz , powered by a memphis 600watt x 2 ohm

the spec should be

ssf= 26hz

lpf= 80- 90 hz

???

Keep the ssf (subsonic filter) on. It will prevent really low frequencies from damaging the sub in a ported box.

70-80 hz is a typical setting for the lpf (low pass filter). Play the system and adjust the setting so the sub blends well with the mids and highs. You want the sub to only be playing the low bass the other speakers can't cover.

You don't need to. A dmm is used by some for setting the gain control on the amp. For the ssf and the lpf, just turn the control to whatever frequency setting you want. Look at the range on the the ssf and lpf controls and dial it in as close as you can. Then fine tune it by ear.
