Im about to buy 2 12' 2005 memphis m3 subwoofers, but i cant decide what ohm load to get, does it realy make a diff. I hurd that if i get 2ohm its cheaper but they blow easier, is this true? Please give feed back!

What are you talking about? If the impediance is lower they will blow? What? Who told you that? Anyway, the impediance of the sub only matters to the amp. So the first question is this.....What amp are you using? The next thing you need to look at is are the subs dual voice coil or single voice coil? With these answers you can post again and someone might be able to help you out with your system design.

Okay, the impediance of a sub only counts to the amp. If you are looking for mind blowing bass that will smash your windshield out you are going more for SPL than SQ.

If you are looking for sound quality its a little different because you will not be playing your SQ vehicle at 150db every day.

So in my opinion and in theory, if you want to pound the hell out of your subs, a lower impediance will be better say 1ohm.

If you are looking for sound quality and playing your system for long drives on hot summer days but not getting all the people on the side of the road to look at you, a higher impediance will be better say 4ohm. Also, the higher the impediance to the amp, the cooler and more efficient it will run. Hope this helps you out. Good luck building.
