memphis bass remote not working right.

OK I have the 16-PRD1000.1 http://web.archive.org/web/200605150...cat=&id=66&p=2

and i bought the bass remote for it the 16 prdgc that was a lil much. the **** thing doesn't even work that great. it lights up but it only changes the gain by 2 or 3 volts on my dmm. is there something that i don't know or have these Memphis always had crappy bass remotes or did i just get a piece of junk and need to send it back.

the same if i put it on MIN and unplug it and plug it back in there is a little difference but hardly noticeable.
