Id usually think a speaker short but its not stuck and you can reset it by restarting your system. Might be something internal I guess.

I've owned a total of three Memphis amplifiers and all three of them suffered from issues with the transistors working themselves loose on the circuit board due to lack of support for the circuit board. I hope they changed that crappy design because having the transistors provide support for most of the circuit board is just a bad idea!

I would suggest pulling your amp apart to see if any of the transistor legs appear to either be breaking away from the transistor or tearing through the solder on the circuit board.

is the volume real loud when it shuts off? i had an amp keep doing that to me when it hit certain low frequencies and come to find out,my ground wasnt sufficient.

i have them wired to 2 ohms, the amp is 1 ohm stable

or could it have something to do with loose wires? the other day i found that the screws in the amp where loose, i was able to pull the wire out without any resistance. i hope its not something internal

Yes. I think it absolutely could have to do with wires jiggling around.

i would also check the wires inside your enclosure to make sure they are not touching the basket of your sub when they jiggle around.also, make sure your ground wire on your amp isnt smaller than the power wire...LOL!!
