mechman alt log

i just got a mechman alt in today. what does the test paper say for amps at 16-1800 rpms on yours? mine is only at 17.7amps at 1600rpm and 54.9amps at 1800rpm. wont get up to 250amps till 6000rpm. please tell me how your guy's specs compare.
its because of the pulley ratio........... its really a bunch more output (so 1600 rpms, is really a lot more amps than 17.7 amps) because of their custom machined pulleys (extra small) i think they dyno test them not accounting for the pulley ratio or size. i would call matt, im sure he can explain it to you better than anyone here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

like mentioned above, the ratings are alternator speed, not engine. Engine RPM is usually 1/3 of the alternator's speed, so divide by 3
That is correct sir. The pulley ratio on your vehicle with the overdrive pulley should be about 3.2:1 .

2400 (rotor RPM) / 3.2 = 750 rpm at the engine

You should be all in (250+ amps) by 2250 engine RPM . (7200 rpm rotor speed)
