What is the smallest fuse I can run that will put me in Meca Street 1. Im running a hifonics 1500w and 2 L7 10's in a CRX. Also how are they getting there answers on their page with that forumla.

(amperage of in-line fuse x 10) + woofer cone surface area= pressure class #

example from the site: 50amp fuse + 2 10's =700???????????

Can someone please explain how they came up with this answer?

Thanks

you can get it to last a few seconds more than you'd expect on that fuse, depending on the fusing methodology you choose. If anyone is interested in this, i'll go furthor into how that works.
I wouldn't mind knowing, but i don't want to waste your time because i don't plan on competition any time soon.

look at my post... its basically what hes saying....

another thing that u can do is use alot of smaller fuses because each fuse has a higher tolerance than its rated amount

multiple fuses have a combination of multiple tolerances therefore it will allow more current

2 30s will destrol 1 60 and 3 20s will destrol the 2 30s ( talkin about amperage of fuses )
