MDF left out in the rain...

My old enclosures (the ones in my profile pic) were left out over night in the rain, facing up, just a few days ago. They filled up with water, (held it like a champ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif), I dumped it out, and they've dried out now, and they're still pretty much solid as ever (as far as I can tell)

The non-cross-cut surface of mdf has a layer over it which is whether and pressure resistant

i dont know, my mdf rings for my comp set turned into cardboard after only about 6 months from letting moisture get to them.

MDF is compacted wood particles... why the hell would it need to be pressure resistant?

But I'll digress...

Out of all particle woods, MDF is the best at keeping water at bay. But it's better to be safe than sorry.

when wood gets wet, it loses a ton of it's stiffness and will become more flexible even much later on. You also can't tell if it is soft and flexible either most of the time. It's weird how it works, but never, ever use moist or wet wood. EVER!!!!
