The poll says go with the MD3D, but comments lean towards the HK. Tell me why I should buy one over the other please, rather than just click on it. Thanks

for $300 that kowboy wants for the US...PICK IT UP!!!! before i do.
His or another one, but like pro rabbit said I'd probably sell it later since I really want headroom that 2000watts won't provide. My subs rms is 2000+, so the 2200 or so that the MD may provide may not be enough. It is a sexy amp though

Well to tell you the truth out of the thousands of systems I have built for myself and for customers(not SPL only setups). I have found that matching a system to the car and the electrical setup with a good box provides more then just mass amounts of power.

I have used everything from cheap wal-mart audio to 5K watts amps. The box is 80% of the factor. Not the power. Power just makes up for what ever your lacking.

The build quality of US is better then the MA. MA will do more power if you need it. Just think of what your setup is and will be. Then think of how long you "really" plan on running it. Also think of its primary use. SPL/SQL.....just daily beating the hell out of it. All that should be considered before you buy something. Unless you don't mind buying/selling and changing things all the time.

My system is and will be just for daily beating. I don't plan nor do I really care to compete. So the MD would be a better choice for this you think? I really want the luxury of extra headroom, but not at the sacrifice of quality or reliability. You seem to know your stuff, so what would you get out of the 2?

I would think if you heard the US or MA on your sub you won't do any more upgrading..lol

If you were a customer I would say the US. A little more reliable, but their current lines are not all that really. The MA has issues with drawing a ton of current and you will find yourself wanting in a few months wanting to redo your system to get more out of the amp.

If you don't wish to change your ohm load then get the US. The MA would win hands down if you were running 2 or 3 ohm. However with your current setup I say US.

Hmm...... Makes sense. Do you have any personal experience with the US?
