Mclass vs PR, ported vs sealed

This thread makes me want to sell my ID OEMS I just got and go get 4 8" M-Classes.

Soooo two prs, in a ported boxdual 2 ohm, right? That would have me at 2ohms which is what my amp will do

it would be better if they actually made a dual 2 ohm.... single or dual 4 ohm is your only option.

Well, that sucks, because thats either giving me 4ohm or 1ohm, my amp cant do 1ohm, and 4ohm is going to be a way lower output

but if i had two SINLGE 4ohm subs, that would be 2ohms, wouldnt that work?

yes, 2 s4s will work

The guy at my audio shop said i should go sealed if i go 12's that way it has been sound quality and sounds "tighter"

People port 12s all the time. If you want loud, go with the PRs ported. If you want sound quality, go with the M-Class sealed.

Yep whe i had the PR 15's a couple years bak i had a friend with the PR 500.1 and i was going to hook one 15 up to it and try to push the full 500 to it but i couldnt and never got to know what they sounded like with the full 500 going to them.
