That's what they thought before testing it. They asked me what the issue was/what to look for, I told them, and they quoted me the $500. They ran the thing for two days on their bench with a test tone said it was rock solid. They also rocked it back and forth to see if anything was loose, apparently no issues.Umm...
What happened to the" $500 , all kinds of things were messed up inside the amp" repair??
Sounds....well.....
Before you flip any of the switches for filters or input selection make sure the amp is off. It can send out loud bursts if any of the switches are flipped while it is on. You can turn the knobs no problem, but the switches are a no/no... lolI should be getting a Mac soon hopefully I dont have any problems...
I hope everything shows up ok with it...Before you flip any of the switches for filters or input selection make sure the amp is off. It can send out loud bursts if any of the switches are flipped while it is on. You can turn the knobs no problem, but the switches are a no/no... lol
Other than that, they are amazing and look impressive, honestly I think it was just bad luck for me.
Im gunna try to get hime to send in the OG box since he has two but only one box... MC431 I think Im gunna sell my MMATs SQ4160 when I get it but not sure yet...If its shipped in the orginal box you should be good. Faceplates are glass the amp comes with suction cups to remove it to set gains/filters...
What model# ?![]()
The box is nice to have just in case you ever want to sell it or have it serviced. McIntosh should be able to send you a replacement box... they even have a part # for it lol.Im gunna try to get hime to send in the OG box since he has two but only one box... He says everything is all fine but we shall see... Im having a hard time passing it up for the price...It's a bit older, but as long as the fans are still good you should be golden. I've looked around the only thing I have even seen mentioned about there car amps are the fans. My MCC302 runs kinda hot, not crazy hot but I am pushing 600w @ 4ohms.
I have saved a lot of $$$ buying used. The only things new on my system is the wiring and the speakers. Haven't been burned (badly) yet lol. The prices for some of the stuff is way to high to buy for retail. He says everything is all fine but we shall see... Im having a hard time passing it up for the price...
