there is a huge difference between what your running and a Mcintosh, if he takes it to an unauthorized repair center and mcintosh will tell him to fuck off if he needs them to help him out.$500 to repair? does that come with a bl0wjob? jeebus.. my guy charges $50+ parts i dont think i ever paid more then $75 for a repair.... and he has done about 80 for me and not 1 repair has failed
AQ and DD both will still recone it. They will charge you for tear down though in most cases. I have personally done both while I was there.Same reason DD will not recone their motor if you have some one else's softparts in it when you send it in.
Companies want you to exclusively use their parts and the repair centers they endorse.thats lame.. if its not under warranty why would it matter
200-300 tops. And ive blown up amps way more expensive than yours //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifI sent it to an authorized repair center. The only authorized repair center... They have that part of the market cornered.
I was told that a lot was wrong with the amp, I believe the guy the amp was doing a lot of weird things when I sent it in. The amp has meters and when I used an iPod to check the rca's (plugged it into channels 3 and 4 only) the power meters indicated there was signal from all channels and then it shut off.
Just curious though what would you consider fair for an amp repair (around 200-300$)?
The cost does sting, but I just want it fixed with the right parts so if by some stroke of god it fails again it can be repaired. I am not doubting any repair places ability only the parts they use...200-300 tops.
