Its a good daily budget amp and I wouldnt discourage anyone from buying it. I didn't mean to shy anyone away from it lol

Clean power? Do the watts need to be cleaned? And lose tolerence? Please show me verified proof of these statements. And I can say for a fact that they can keep with with any amplifier I have proved it with beating out guys with higher end stuff.

Also alot of you guy's get blinded by hersay on these forums, Yes maxxsonics might not be the end all top end brand but when it comes down to it they function and they work I have ZERO noise in my system as far as audio signal goes so the not clean power statement doesnt add up to me.

I have owned and still own some of the highest top end audio amplifiers you can get and I still use these Autotek amplifiers, Yes my Zapco Reference amplifiers might be able to do more option wise like Balanced inputs for example. Another example a local friend and competitor runs DD amplifiers in a Pro-AM (Amature when he started) IASCA car he got massive blow back from alot of blinded hersay saying that DD isnt SQ those amplifiers are MADE FOR SPL blah blah blah made in China blah blah. And he took home first and second and the Canadian finals.

So are you telling me that Digital Designs Amplifiers cannot compete with High End SQ amplifiers because they are well known for SPL in the lanes? Just like a lot of JL haters say that the HD series amplifiers are crap and are dirty power I can tell you that this look at this build here again another local guy and person I know. This Car runs all HD amplifiers and competes in Pro IASCA SQ and doesnt even run his 12w6 subs.

Again are you saying that JL Audio cannot compete with Mac or Tru because those amplifiers are more expensive then the JL Audio amplifiers?

Its been said numerous times that a incorrectly setup expensive setup can beat out a correctly setup less expensive one. Does not mean either piece of equipment was better or worse. Its all in the install which you said earlier and I agreed with you on that.

I am a JL Audio fan anyway lol and i never said that price determined how well an amp would perform (so im assuming thats directed elsewhere as well. My statement still stands that Mb Quart amps are nice budget amps. Thats it. The best? no...worst? no. once again personal preference. If one can take a Quart amp and beat out those that cost double or triple its price then congrats on your superior install.

I've seen that build before. Very nice stuff. I'd love to try a JL HD amp out

My comments are directed in broad direction. So tell me and this is towards you prince, what makes a budget amp? And I never said you said those amps were crap.

And one point I would like to make, all in the install as much as this statement is true and I agree when you go to a SQ comp these guys go to win so install at this point is pretty moot as most installs are pretty well planned and executed, then you get into processing and other stuff.

I am acctually trying to have a decent debate here lets keep it on the level.

a good budget amp IMO is an amp around $200-250 and below that does rated power and has sufficient quality to run for hours at a time without shutting off.

not necessarily true about SQ comps either. though most guys go to win, some guys systems are still not set up correctly. Possibly because of ignorance (still learning as we all are). It also depends on the criteria used for judging. Were the judges just sitting in the cars and listening? RTA involved?

Every competitor has not sat in his car for hours and tweaked on every little thing. Everyone hasnt calculated the frequency his drivers begin to beam and compensated for that. Every competitor hasnt found out his cars resonances and compensated for that. While most of them have probably deadened and sealed doors and played with aiming and placements, there could still be alot of factors that have not been accounted for.

I have run high end Xtant amp, many many JL Amps

I will say that for double the money that you can get an MB Quart amp - it would still be worth it.

Just a good solid amo, doesn't get hot. I have done 12 hour trips with it and it just works.

It is a good amp and I recommend it. Would I use it if I was competing, not likely, but for a daily driver - YES I would

I love when people dump on products they have never used or even heard/seen in person.. I ran the 125.4 for a good 2 months on 2 sets of st350's and 2 sets of silver flute 6.5's and it sounded **** good. I mean the st's were very overwhelming but that’s to be expected from a horn/super tweet. But to say the amp did not do rated power is BS it had all the power I could handle. The only reason I sold was due to the fact I did not like the look of the amp (uses a lot of plastic) and it got very hot but it never shut down so no harm no foul..

P.S this amp can handle a 2ohm load per channel done it before without issue..

I've seen a discus destroy a 200.4 in the sq lanes. The mb q will be fine.

I'd only run 1 set of 6.5's instead of 2 and 6x9's though.

You will huh? Then you are an idiot. Take everything away except amp vs amp you lose every single time. I am running a DD amp right now and have been running various DD's for 5-6 years now. I know what they will do, they do not even come close to my old Mcintosh
