MB ONX 1500.1 - Bass Knob

I just got this amplifier and I am curious about the bass control knob. Is this a bass boost or is it like a volume control for the subwoofer? I don't have any use for the former but the latter would be great. I checked the manual and couldn't figure much out.

it's a gain knob, basically, set you gain on the amp, plug the knob in, and it let's you adjust the gain from 0 to wherever you set it.
