Mazda Owned Again

yeah thats why i said theyre really efficient without putting out a lotta hp. most HIGH performance rx7s, are only in the 400s versus supras which are in the 900s.
Have you ever heard of a quad rotor? Or triple rotor?Triple rotors can run about 600hp, and quad's about 850+ pretty easy.

I know the FD's overheated....they ****** in that area.

A supra is good for going in a straight line.that is all.

rx-7 can get fast as hell, I have a magazine with a guy w/ 1,400hp on it,runs 7's.Its some type of racing..I forget. It was a dual rotor too,not quad.

the rx-7 FC is one of the only perfectly balanced, fast stock, high revving cars NOW that can be had for around 7k or less.

it's weight distro is 50/50, now unless you wanna drive a miata, you aint beatin that.

WTF are you talking about, seriously hope your joking..

im talking to him right now. keeps saying i dont know him, im immature cause i work at walmart so i can buy my own car, and that hes supreme to everyone.
Nothin wrong with ol' wally world. I work there during fall/sring semesters.

and the fact that supras are dyno queens...

as the old joke goes... what does a 400hp supra and a 900hp supra have in common?? 12s.

dude, im talkin about the rx7 dual rotor motor man. yes the fc ifini line was a great car, and no the supra does have some good handling if u know what ur doing. im just saying u can extract gobs of power from a 2jz, but have it be just as quick and as efficient as a 400 hp 2x rotor rx7.

im lost. The supra can handle, but I take the advice of one of my friends who races proffesionally, and who just got done racing his GT3 last season, and is now buildin his corvette.

No doubt the supra can be made to handle, but it just doesnt wanna move.

I dont get your joke werd...Are you saying the 900hp one is slow because of the turbo lag?...im lost.

hes sayin people waste money on toyotas......then again i will be driving a tacoma soon.....but hes sayin the 400 horsepower supras can run 12's and so do 900 hp supras....cuz people dont know how to put down the power...atleast thas what im thinkin.

First off, Nissan owns.

Second..toyotas are good for speed, the supra is unbeatable, but leaves people wanting more on those country drives...

yeah rotaries dont put out a lotta hp, but they use it REALLY efficiently. the only problem with them is the older FD series overheated like a mother.

It's a cool design, (albeit almost as old as the piston engine) - but it's certainly not something I'd call innovative or worth the hassle.... Don't mention apex seals...

Since the supra was mentioned -

Supra's are for kids with penile issues... Because they want to race off the track.

It doesn't excel at either style of proper racing here stateside whether or not you like to admit that is simply based on your own juvenile thought process. Not saying it's a bad vehicle, but you are better off with other choices. Just like some of the choices we make in car audio. It'll go fast, but it'll get beat by cars better suited for the job at hand.

That and the RX-7 uses two 654 cc rotary engines //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
There was also a triple rotar system, if I'm not mistaken, but it wasn't used in an RX-7 ...
Correct! You can order it from Mazda, and there is a 4 rotor... 2.6L making over 800hp stock..

I don't know exactly why Mazda Rx-7's are so disliked. The weight to horsepower ratio is high, and you can get better mpg in one than you can with most of the more extreme penny pincher cars like Ford Aspires etc. I'm not saying this is some fantastic thing worth international praise or not, but driving an RX-7 is probably going to be more fun than tooling around in a 3-cyl Geo Metro, and a friend of mine beats the piss out of his and gets close to 37mpg.

This is the light I've seen them in anyway. If it weren't for the Fast and The Furious, Rx-7's would probably be an attainable, affordable alternitive to less efficient sports cars. Now they have all gone to the ricers and whatnot.

i like mazda a lot. Their FB, FC and FD all rocked. I've not heard of 4 rotors, only triple. It was initally available on the mazda cosmo, a luxury coupe that flopped. The engines were a gem though. Still made 280hp in standard tune, just more "tunable".

Don't think RX7's would be the ideal choice for novice drivers though. You need a lot to pull max out of them cars.
