I've been running my XXX15 for about a year now(4 cu@35) and i want to try something different. Nothing wrong with the RE but i know now what people mean by it has a "hollow" sound. Also i noticed the lack of 60hz+ freq.

I still need something loud and with good SQ but with a "warmer" sound. I tried 3 different boxes including sealed, so i'm done with that. I would like to keep my new box within 4 cu. I've been inside high spl vehicles and that not what i'm after. Lastly i wish i could afford the new XXX but can't. my budjet would be $500 give or take.

I'm running an Orion 2500d so power is not a problem. Need suggestions ' cause i only tried 2 different kinds of sub...so far. Thanks

You would be hard pressed to find a sub that can beat out the XXX in the 500 budget. Maybe try a RL-p, SI Mag...

Well for one thing, many people cross their sub over at 60hz.

For that, you may need stronger midbass.

mag ive heard great things about, and sounds like what you ar elooking for.

i personally suggest the TC3hp or uberwoofer, ive had it, and sounds like it would fit the bill.

Did you own a uberwoofer? I heard they were supposed to be great based on specs but then sounded terrible. Let me know what experiance you have had with one, since I have only heard that from one source.

ubers are hard to find, a mag seems to fit your bill also maybe a pair idmaxs over budget but u might get lucky and find a couple people selling used ones......ehh prolly way over budget but it sound really nice:yumyum:
