Max Number of Subs on One Amp

Hey guys.

I've done my Big Three wiring upgrade with 1/0 wiring on top of my 200 amp alternator and I'm looking to get some more boom. I have an AudioQue 1200D and I was wondering how many subwoofers I could wire with it. I'm currently running two 12s wired to it at 2 Ohms for about 800 RWMS. I'm wanting to add two more of these subs to my system and wire all of the subwoofers in parallel to still present the 2 Ohm resistance to the amp. Is this safe/OK?

Depending on how you wire them you can theoretically have as many as you want. BUT you'll be cutting the power each sub receives. a 1200D does 1200 at 1 ohm i think so if you have 4 subs and they're all wired so that the amp sees 1 ohm each will be getting 300 watts.
