ok i finally got everything working. heres my review. i think the maw12 blows. my **** pyle blue wave had deeper bass and had more SQ than this thing. i dont know much about tuning my amp to make the woofer sound its best, but the gains are set the same way it was when i had my pyle and this mach5 woofer seriously blows. the sound quality is shit, the bass doesnt hit at all.. its flat, rattly bass.. i look at it this way. when u fart, and u know its a good one.. its nice. but when u try to fart and it comes out flat and flabby, your like.. aww that wasnt worth the push. well its the same with this woofer. seriously.. i hope it sounds better when i get a ported box, if not... dont waste your money on them. use that 50 dollars and buy your girlfriend/wife something

no joke. i seriously dont like it.. i just went outside and messed with the gains to try and get a better sound... i also had my windows up, and from experience.. bass doesnt hit nearly as hard with the windows up. i might have also crossed a wire, i was in a hurry to hook up the sub and hear it.. ill do some more poking around and hopefully come back and give u a happt review

yeah, I was seriously considering putting two of these sealed in my truck. But with this review idk.. most people love them, what's up with yours lol?

Odd, first negative review. And since you are coming from a Pyle, I think there is some experience/install issues. Could very easily the wiring was done wrong.

yes. read my other post in the subwoofer forum, asking if im wired at 2 or 8 ohm... its a dual enclosure, im using only one sub. im going to build a ported box.. dont have the time at the moment tho

There could also be leaks between chambers.

Yet another reason to NOT put much weight into his review. Operator error FTL!!!

Why even give a review when you don't have it in the right box, probably not wired correctly, and definitely not tuned?? Pointless thread...

Maybe the pyle was sooo 1337 that nothing can compare to it. And maybe the pyle box is soooo gooood that only pyle stuff that's 1337 enough can go inside of it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Probably either a wiring issue, your lack of knowing how to set an amplifier, or the box it's in.
