I personally feel a little sorry for the guy...he got absolutely chewed up in NY...while his family was in the middle of the hurricane in NO. If you lived in NY and listened to WFAN at all there was a time when every other call was about how he is the worst player in the league and should go jump off a bridge.

Glad to see that he actually came out and admitted to it, without being subpoenaed in front of the Supreme Court...

Lawton was on a heck of a streak at the beginning of the year. I remember picking him up off waivers in my fantasy league last year because he was so hot at the plate. This is when he was a Pirate, before he went to the Cubs, and then the Yanks.

"I wasn't playing well enough to be on a Little League roster, let alone be on the roster of the New York Yankees,"

Look, he can even joke about it. You didn't see Palmeiro doing this.

"I don't want people to think that everything I did, the good years I had, were steroid-related," Lawton told Sports Weekly. "I learned a lot about myself last year, and I'll be better for it."Now I'm ready to prove it."

Now, he gets serious. At least he has a positive attitude towards it.
