Ok, I have a Power Acoustiks class D amp that puts out 1200w @ 1ohm, 750w @ 2ohms, and 400w @ 4ohms(rms). My question is if I want to get a DVC sub, does it have to be any specific type? I'm looking at a Logic 10" sub (1500rms/3000max) that has an impedance of 4ohms for each coil so if I got that sub, would I have the 1, 2, or 4 ohm load? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Thanks for any help...

So if that same amp can do 750w x 2 @ 2ohms, would I need a pair of 8ohm DVC subs or 4ohm to run it at a 2ohm load? From what you said I think it would be a pair of 4ohms.

If you want to use 2 subs, then use DVC 2 ohm versions. Wire the 2 coils of each sub in series (4 ohm total) then wire the 2 subs in parallel (back to 2 ohms combined).

For that sub.. A single sub.. You will need an amplifier to be stable @ 2 ohms, of approx 1500-2k rms or an amplifier @1 ohm stable at approx...

Check out the Down4Sound JP95 5-channel amp. It may be the 5-channel amp you are looking for.
