massive audio amp failures

I got a great great great great deal on a brand new in box nx3 from a private seller. How ever the left channel has went out. I can't get it to work at all when testing it out. An I going something wrong here? Anyone know how good massive is on warranty claims? I'm hoping the seller helps me in that regard bc I need the amp for my beater se-r.

I would contact massive, and see what they say. My guess is, they will fix it, cause it was bnib. Good luck to you.

Don't tell them you bought from another person. The warranty may not be transferrable

They want $100 to fix...wtf. might as well just not use the front stage. What a crappy warranty. They only warranty for 90 days if bought from them or online car stereo... regret this purchase.

How Did you have the amp wired up ? Im guessing front and rear ?

It's a 3 channel. There's only Left, Right and sub.

So the sub ch quit working ? Did you check your sub ohm with a DMM ?

Did you Check rca's? I know it sounds stupid but I've seen it many times where guys think the amp is dead but it was just a wire or rca problem.

Yeah tried 3 sets of RCA's..tried phone and head unit as source..swapped speakers...left side seems dead.

My NX5 was an overheating POS and I returned it the same day that I received it.

My experience with it was something along these lines: Receive amp via UPS, install it, drive 5 minutes, thermal protect. Let amp sit, start car, still in thermal. While driving to the next destination, the amp starts to play. Then I drive 10 more minutes with the AC on full blast, thermal again. I returned home, pulled it, completed an online RMA request, and that was my last dealing with Massive amplifiers.
