Marine Audio Experts Help

I'm from Brazil and I work at a Marine Boat Factory doing sound installations.

We're building a new boat named Real Top 41 ( http://www.powerboats.com.br ) with 41 feet long.

We have one client of that new boat model, that went to Miami and got a lot of new marine audio stuffs (Clarion) for his new boat, as follow:

01 - CMD 5 source unit

02 - APX 490

02 - APX 290

02 - Subwoofers 10″

06 - 7″ Coaxial 2-way Water Resistant Speaker

04 - 7″ 2-way Water-Resistant Component Speaker

01 - Watertight Marine Remote Control with LCD

He want's to install everething making the following speakers distribution and configuration:

- 04 coaxial speakers close to the floor, with one of the four ways amplifiers.

and 01 subwoofer on the main cockpit.

- 04 componet speakers on the solarion placed at the back, on the hightest possible position (clouse to the head position of who is on the layed on the solariun), with the second of the four ways amplifiers.

- 02 coaxial speakers and the other subwoofer on the back of the boat (facing the back outside), using one of the two ways amplifier.

For the sub's he want's to use the second two way amplifier.

He also said that he have more 02 coaxial speakers and he thinks that the best configuration would be to add another two way amplifier and use the total of 04 coaxial speakes instead of 02 on the back of the boat facing out side, plus the sub woofer.

He says that that doing that the sound distribution will be perfect, because if you are inside the boat the sound will have 04 speakers to the front channel and 04 spekers for the rear channel, plus one subwoofer.

And on the same way, on the back facing out side out of the boat we'll have also one speaker for each channel, plus one subwoofer.

He wants to have some switch to turn on/off the eight inside speakers and other to switch to turn on/off the outside speakers (for people laiseing on the wather).

So, on that way he can put working inside, outside or bouth sytems as he desire

I hope you got the picture.

My questions:

Is he right?

What about the impedance?

How I do that?

How do I split the source output? I have only four channels and one subwoofer output!

How do I should connect the amplifiers and the speakers?

Do I need another equipament to do that?

If yes, whitch equipament will be the best for that?

I really do need some qualified help on that matter.

I never done something complex like that with equipaments tha I din't know.

Can some one help me? (hey everybody, sorry about my poor english whirting)

I'm not a boat expert, but I think I can help.

What about the impedance?

Impedance should be ok. It seems like you are using 1 speaker per amp channel which is fine.

How I do that?

To turn on individual amps seperately, there is a remote wire from the source unit (usually blue wire), this connects to the amps REM terminal and tells them to turn on. You can put simple switches inline to turn on and off the remote wire to the amps. It is a very low power signal so any switches should work fine.

How do I split the source output? I have only four channels and one subwoofer output!

You will use plenty of these to split the signals:
