Marine Amp ?

so i want an amp for my boat, but since i don want to spend extra mondy id likd to not spend the money on a water proof enclosure. ill be using a sub box i made coated in fiberglass resin to water proof the subwoofer (marine grade L5) but how should i do the amps? i was thinking since i have two amps, make a box for thema and put them inside one of the seats that flip up? maybe then put two small fans for airflow? any better way that im missing?

also does anyone know what those speaker pod things they used to sell at crutchfield were called, that was a rubber cover that you put put over coils and it protected it from the back from dirt or water or anything.

I think putting them inside a flip-up seat is a great idea. Easily accessible if ya need to tweak your settings, out of the way when you dont, and protected from the elements. Good idea! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

There are specially made marine amps around. I believe PG made a marine Tantrum 1200.1, that was white rather than the standard black.
