You make your peers look like idiots. There is no way that smoking ANYTHING doesn't produce carcinogens and in large amounts will cause ailments. Our lungs weren't designed to routinely inhale smoke of any kind, dingledouche.

Forgive me, as I haven't read the complete thread....

Here is the reason marijuana should be legal: it is no one's business but my own what I do to my body. If I am not harming another human being by doing something, I should be permitted to do so. There are more advantages to marijuana than disadvantages, but that has nothing to do with it...it's simply not anyone else's right to tell me what to do on anything that doesn't impact them.

like i said smoking aint good for you. our body wasnt made for that purpose. i can see if you are sick and need to smoke to eat becuase you cant eat right or you need to numb the pain of any illness. but most of the people backing up marijuanna on here are just plain pot heads. who use it as a recreational drug. only person i know of who should be smoking pot right now is teedoottt . muthafuakas in a physical rehab. all other im a shamed of you and i bet your elders whould be too./ tread

i am nobody to judge. but if you are going about it like this" its my body , i can do what i want to it" then ok you FAIL. take advise. I still love people who smoke weed. ive seen a lady who smokes weed and you cannot tell me it doesnt make you slow! ses older , but her speach is impared from so much marijuanna she has smoked . i could understand if shes 80-90 shes 60 tho.

That pretty much sum it up, my rights end as soon as they impact your rights. I don't see people smoking weed impacting anybody else's rights or safety, unless its driving while high, but there are already laws for that.

I believe small amounts are 'decriminalized' ie: they won't waste taxpayers money on you sitting in jail but I believe there is still a fine involved.

That's a good question! There have been a series of cases where a defendant, who has been charged with possession, has argued that through a series of previous judgements, it was determined that the current marijuana laws are unconstitutional. As such, they are able to get off in court. However, in some areas, local PO are still arresting for small possession.

In other places (like the province of British Columbia), marijuana use goes virtually unchecked. In fact, the City of Vancouver made a recommendation to the Federal government that marijuana should be legalized and taxed, or at the very least should be decriminalized.

Was marijuana made illegal because of racial problems? The answer is mostly yes. To quote former Director of Federal Bureau of Narcotics Harry J. Ansligner "Reefer makes darkies think they're as good as white men."
