manual cars are the sh1t

Manuals are best for performance vehicles. I dont care how you build your automatic ******, there's no substitute for manual control of your RPM's and clutch management. With an auto, if you install a serious stall converter to hook hard off the line, its gonna suck to drive in traffic. If you use a standard torque converter, you lose a lot of power off the line. With a manual ******, you can control the car to handle any of those situations. For example, in my chevelle (strong big block) I can get nice smooth acceleration from a stop light in traffic. But if someone wants to race, drop her in second and dump the clutch at 3-4k and watch the front end come off the ground. Then power shift (no clutch) through the rest of the gears.
If someone thinks an auto is 'faster' than a manual (all other factors being equal), you just aren't very good with manual transmissions.
I agree..But the fact that its fast has nothing to do with it being manual or auto.
you didn't read that did you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

No other way to drive. It's a shame they're falling by the wayside. I'll probably never own a Ferrari with a stick. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

He said when comparing 2 cars..all other factors being equal but the transmission....U compared ur car to the majority of the cars on the road..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wave.gif.002382ce7d7c19757ab945cc69819de1.gif

the majority of cars on the road arn't 12sec cars...I know there are some and I know there are street cars that are way faster...but the majority arn't and most that are faster have a hopped V8 or bigger .....but there are some 4's that will run like the wind like the STi's and such

What in the world does this have to do with manual versus automatic transmissions? I agree kroid didnt seem to see where I said your car's potential has virtually nothing to do with it being an automatic, but you seem to be veering off on an even larger tangent. Comparing your GN to other completely different vehicles on the road proves absolutely nothing.

I would prefer an auto in a turbo vehicle. I would also prefer auto if i had to commute. I prefer manual when i tow. I prefer manual when i have a loud exhaust.

The truck in my sig is getting a 5 speed shortly. The C6 aint cuttin it.

Edit: A Grand National was the fastest production car of its year (s?), Nothing from the factory would beat them.

This.
PS. If you want to show off one of your vehicles, please wipe up under it. Dam. You slippin worse than your ***** today buddy.
I had the transmision rebuilt...it cost $1350 with all the best parts...when I got it back it was leaking....I need to get it back to him...I've already called the guy about it...It was noticed the day I picked the car up....Everytime I can get someone to bring it back to his shop he is busy...I don't have a lift or I'd try to fix it....

Judging by the location of the leak, the mechanic misaligned the front seal, which is common from a worker with not a lot of experience. Id worry less about which parts were used, and worry more about how they were installed.

Just a head's up.
