Making my port smaller...

I have a single sub setup 12" L7 kicker on a ported box tuned at 35hz. The box is 3.75^ 3.0 cubic feet. I was thinking about dropping the size of my port by sliding a peice of ply wood inside the port hole. Will i notice any difference by dropping from 35 HZ to a 32 hz port?? What are your thoughts/opinions. My setup is in my sig.
